Thursday

Thursday Morning

Yesterday was great day. In the morning we made some crafts to hand out into the neighborhood that tell everyone about the upcoming Easter services at En Enquentro (the church Dave pastors).
We also had another exciting day of Club de Nino.
When we arrived home, there was a bbq being prepared for us by the doctors from across the street. It was tacos and they were yummy! We also learned a new game from the doctors kids.

"If I could speak all the languages of the earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal." (1 Cor. 13:1 NLT)
This verse has had a new meaning to each of us as we realize we can't speak Spanish but we can love the kids and people of Tijuana.

I've updated some pictures today on the picture webpage: www.virdenalliancechurch.com/tmt/

Thanks for reading, thanks for praying and may God bless you!

Gloiria a Dios!

Tuesday

Tuesday Morning, bright and early

Well, our days have been long and very exciting. It is quite easy getting everyone to bed in the evening. Lights out is supposed to be at 10:30 but I think everyone was asleep by 10:15! Yesterday was the first day of Club de Nino. We were expecting about 10-20 kids and we had a total of 18, praise God! And it appears we'll have more today. We spent pretty much the whole day getting ready and holding the Club.It was exciting to see the team step up and take ownership of their areas like games and crafts. And David has been a huge help in translating and getting us enthusiastic. We all agree that our favorite part is playing with the kids, they are so fun and well behaved it's great.

So, today we're ready to iron out the kinks and we woke up a little earlier so we can head to a market on wheels.

Bueno es Dios! Thanks for praying and encouraging and loving us!
We have updated a couple of pictures here.

Monday Morning

Well, we are getting ourselves ready for the exciting day ahead. It is 8:20 here (11:20 in MB). Today we will launch the Club de Nino. Please pray that the kids would come and be excited to come again and hear all about "sharing God's light".
Yesterday was a long and great day. It started with a worship service in which there was no music and David preached (in spanish of course), different but good.
After the service, David shared his story of becoming a missionary in the C&MA.
Then we walked around the neighborhood inviting kids the the Club de Nino by giving out baloons and invitations door to door for 3 hours.
And then we came back to the house and visited, ate supper and went over our songs.
It was an full and eventful day!

Sunday

We have arrived

Hello friends and families,
We arrived in LA safely at about 1:24pm (Pacific Time) and discovered that there is a three hour time difference with good old Manitoba.
Once we rented a van, we ate lunch at In n' Out burger and started our 3 hour drive to Mexico. Once we arrived in Mexico, we dropped our bags off very quickly and headed to the coffee shop that Dave and Donna run. There we received orientation until the shop closed at 8pm-Tijuana Time (9pm Pacific Time, 11pm Central Time).
Then we ate a wonderful mexican chicken dinner and briefly visited.

Thanks for your prayers! God is Good!
